COLOMBO (News 1st); The Litro Gas Company states that the company is currently in possession of about 4 million empty gas cylinders.
A senior official of the company mentioned that a ship carrying gas will also arrive in the country on 9th July.
The quantity of gas aboard the relevent ship is 3,700 metric tons.
The official stated that two more ships are scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka on the 11th and 16th July.
Meanwhile, the Litro Company also stated that the daily sale of gas, which is currently limited, will resume from 11th July.
In the meantime, Litro company officials have been called before COPE today (05) to probe into any irregularities detected in the purchase of gas.
